n October 2007 a FUEN Delegation which consisted of President Hans Heinrich Hansen and Secretary General Frank Nickelsen visited Budapest and Pécs for the preparation work of the next congress in Hungary. Talks were held with the Hungarian Government (State Secretary Ferenc Gemesi photo left) and the German minority in Hungary (see photo below)

The FUEN Assembly of Delegates and the Opening of the Congress will take place the Hotel Palatinus. All interested parties will be accomodated at Hotel Palatinus and Hotel Patria. Registration
forms must be sent to the FUEN Secretariat > see item no. 04

1. SIMULTANEOUS INTERPRETING
Simultaneous interpreting will be arranged for English, French, German and Russian.

2. APPLICATIONS / DRAFT RESOLUTIONS
Any applications or resolutions (in English, French, German or Russian) should be submitted to the FUEN Secretariat by e-mail congress2008@fuen.org by 15th April 2008 at the latest to allow time for them to be seen by the FUEN Presidium before the Congress.Applications and Resolutions arriving later than this cannot be accepted!

All member organisations are only requested to send draft resolutions when there are totally changes in their specific situations. Only draft resolutions which do not exceed the size of a half A4 page (Times 12 pt) will be accepted.

All documents, e.g. status reports, copies of speeches and similar should be submitted to the FUEN Secretariat by e-mail congress2008@fuen.org.

5. SUPPORT WITH COSTS
only for delegates from the former communist states
A part of the travel expenses for all ordinary and associate FUEN member organisations from Central and Eastern Europe (from former communist countries) can be paid by FUEN.

On receipt of the original travel documents up to 100,- EUR of the travel expenses will be reimbursed for participants living in Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Czech Republik,Hungary, Bulgaria and Romania
On receipt of the original travel documents up to 200,- EUR of the travel expenses will be reimbursed for participants living in Albania, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Serbia-Montenegro, Kazakhstan,Kyrgyztan, Croatia, Macedonia, Russia, Moldova, Uzbekistan and Ukraine.

FUEN covers costs for travel, hotel (accommodation in double rooms in Hotel Palatinus or Patria) and
meals for two representatives per member organisation if the trip is made in one car. (Attention: per km 0,10 EUR / maximum payment is 100,- EUR)

After the congress the participants are requested to send their travel receipts and their bank coordinates (account number, owner of the account, SWIFT Code, name of the bank) to the FUEN Secretariat. In the case of non-payment of the membership subscriptions or congress fee FUEN draws attention to the fact that the reimbursement will be deducted from the unpaid amounts.
